We continued working on your STAAR-style critical reading questions today. Students also began answering some fascinating revising and editing questions in preparation for next week. If you didn’t finish, you’ll have a little time tomorrow.
On Monday I was out, but students took their SAR exam for The Glass Castle. If you missed it, come by on Thursday during lunch.
Today we worked on creating STAAR-style questions for a reading passage – if you were absent, we’ll catch you up in class tomorrow.

We continued writing our group essays today – please make sure that your group has yours printed and ready to turn in at the start of class tomorrow.
Your last Glass Castle Reading Guide is due tomorrow.
We began today with a discussion over Reading Guide 5. Our last reading guide for The Glass Castle is due on Friday – Glass Castle Reading Guide 6
For the remainder of class, students worked in groups to produce an extended essay analyzing one of the Walls parents. I will also give you tomorrow to work in class, so please make sure that you bring your laptops.
Today we completed Close Reading #5: TGC Close Reading 5
Please make sure that you bring your Reading Guide 5 to class tomorrow. You’ll also need your laptop and a Google account.
We took our Glass Castle Vocabulary 2 Quiz today – if you missed it, come make it up on Friday. Students also started their GC Reading Guide 5 (Glass Castle Reading Guide 5) – it’s due on Wednesday.
Please bring your laptops on Wednesday!
